1 Introduction
Asterix is principally for reducing and analysing ROSAT data, although much
of it may be useful for data from other instruments. If you are new to
Asterix, you should briefly look through the top sections of this help to
familiarise yourself with general concepts. If you are looking for a
command to perform a specific task, then either look in the 'Command_summary'
section, or see if the task falls within the categories of command
listed below. If your main interest is in reducing ROSAT data then
you should look at the 'Documents' section to find out where to obtain
