Other Grouping Programs
Grouping is a new facility within ASTERIX and only few applications
support access to grouped data - these are,
- Spectral fitting
- All spectral fitting programs use the grouping array
- AXORDER
- The grouping array is reordered just as the other arrays in the
dataset
- FREQUENCY
- Optionally (via the USEGRP parameter) bins using data group
values rather than the pixels in a grouped dataset
- STATISTIX
- Optionally (via the USEGRP parameter) displays statistics on
the groups rather than the pixels in a grouped dataset
- TEXT2AST/AST2TEXT
- TEXT2AST will import a column with the header identifier GROUP
into the grouping array, and AST2TEXT will write it out
- BINSUBSET
- Correctly subsets a grouping array. This will usually leave
some group numbers with no member pixels, but ASTERIX programs
can cope with this
