ENMAP

Produces an image, colour coded by the mean energy of the photons in each pixel. i.e. a pixel which has primarily low energy photons incident on it, will be assigned a low value, whereas a pixel containing on average higher energy photons will have a larger value. When the image produced by ENMAP is displayed, it can help to bring sources out of the background or distinguish between sources with a different spectrum. To help improve the signal to noise it is sometimes useful to set a lower threshold so that background pixels get set to zero.
