1 FITS Format Compatibility
A basic level of FITS (Flexible Image Transport System) file
compatibility has now been built into the ASTERIX system.
This allows most of the general utility applications to read and write
FITS files, and to mix FITS and HDS where appropriate.
In ASTERIX version 2.3-0 the XRT interface commands are converted
to FITS RDF input.
