Isys

This is a GUI front end to image processing. It wraps up the functions (not all of them yet) of the image processing system, and in addition provides links to other facilities both within ASTERIX (PSS) and outside (QDP and HEASARC catalogue searching). It is still very much under development at the moment and this is all the online help you get.

To invoke it you will have to get rid of any 'xwin' device you might have open and type 'Isys' (from the shell - it doesn't need ICL!). It doesn't have any contention with 'x2win', 'x3win' etc. - you can leave those in place.

If it crashes on you it may leave rubbish behind. Do a 'ps' to see if there are any processes that shouldn't be there, also do 'rm ~/adam/Isys*' and 'rm ~/adam/img*' to remove the 'rendezvous files' that it uses to communicate with Image Processing. Hopefully this sort of thing will become unnecessary or automatic in the future.

PLEASE LET US HAVE FEEDBACK!
