The data sorting programs, WFCSORT and XSORT are capable of using a file containing a series of ON-OFF times in MJD format to sort the data. SLOTMRG allows two such files to be merged to produce a file containing the overlapping time regions. A common use would be in simultaneous work with Rosat WFC and XRT data. The XRT routine, PREPXRT, produces a file, Rootname.ONOFF, which contains the ON-OFF times as MJDs for a particular XRT observation. The WFC interface produces a similar file for the WFC observation. These files can be merged using SLOTMRG to produce a single file containing the times when both instruments were collecting data. This resultant file may than be used in both of the sort routines.
