The header data is contained in the file _hdr.sdf, which is produced by the applications XRTINDEX inside XRTCONV, which must be run before SHOWXRT is executed.
The header file is a HDS file containing the FITS header for the FITS event file. Records are read from this file and re-formatted into a one page summary of the observation. This may either be sent to a file or displayed on the screen.
