EVSIM

Generates simulated event datasets using a psf of the users choice. Two methods of defining the size of the simulated field and the background are available,

• The background can be flat (including zero) and the field size and pixel quantum defined explicitly.
• Any 2-dimensional dataset can be read in as a model. The model is normalised to create a cumulative probability distribution which is then used to generate a simulated background. The field size is the same as that of the input dataset.

NOTE : EVSIM only generates position lists - no timing information is produced. A time series simulator is available called TIMSIM.
