Perform a 2D convolution of a pair of images using FFTs. If both images have the same dimensions then the user has a choice of cyclic or non-cyclic convolution - non-cyclic is the only option for datasets of different shape. In cyclic convolution the output image has the same dimensions as the inputs, in non-cyclic the dimensions are the sum of the dimensions of the inputs.
