 trk_idf::get_species
        Return the species list of a PHA channel set.

 Usage:
        geom = trkref -> get_species()

 Keywords:
        species int     Only return the symbol or name of the
                        specified species.
        count           If set, then just return the number of species.
        fullname        If set, then return the full name
                        (e.g. Carbon) rather than just the symbol.
        uppercase       If set, then convert to uppercase before returning
