 lan_dyn_spect_stream::set_channel
        Set the channel for a lan dyn_spect stream.

 Usage:
        rc= strref -> set_channel(channel)

 Argument:
        channel string  The channel group to be assigned to the
                        stream.

 Keyword:
        null            If set, then clear the channel and return 0
