There are two main options for staying in Birmingham for the RAS-NAM2005 and UKSP2005 meetings.

  1. To provide an inexpensive option, we have a limited number (100); of rooms at Chamberlain Hall, a University Hall of residence, a 15 min walk from the centre of campus. These comprise a mixture of ensuite rooms at £36 per night, and rooms with shared facilities at £28, bed & breakfast. These are only available on a weekly basis (i.e. 4 nights), and can be booked via the registration webpage - first-come, first-served. Payment for these rooms is taken as part of the registration.
  2. The alternative is to book your own hotel accommodation. There are a large number of hotels in Birmingham, ranging from smaller guest houses nearer the University through to larger chain hotels in the city centre. Because the University has its own railway station (called simply "University") connections to the city centre are very easy - one stop to Five Ways train station and two stops to New Street central station.

A number of hotels are listed here, with contact details and webpages where appropriate, along with maps detailing their locations.
