*********************** Final Announcement *********************** 6th Birmingham Extragalactic Workshop "Cooling in Cosmology" July 2-3, 2002 Registration for the Workshop has now closed, and a draft programme is attached below. Please let us know right away if you spot any problem with the information listed here or on the Workshop web page: http://www.sr.bham.ac.uk/workshop/ Information on travel to the workshop can be found on the workshop webpage. Registration will take place in the room adjacent to the Physics Small Lecture Theatre, and will be clearly signposted on the day. Anyone travelling by car should park in the South Car Park, off Edgbaston Park Rd (50p pay & display), which is close to Physics. We have booked accommodation as requested for the night of July 2nd - either Lucas House, or Mason Hall (student accomodation). Both are a ~10 minute walk from the main Physics building, where the Workshop will take place. They are inside the Campus, off Edgbaston Park Road, and can be found on the map pointed to from the Workshop web page. Please note that you are responsible for paying for your own accomodation (£54 and £28.20 for B&B at Lucas and Mason respectively). The conference fee of £37, which covers coffee, lunches and the Balti dinner, is payable (cash or cheque) on arrival. A computer projector will be available for laptop presentations, in addition to a normal OHP. Those using laptops might wish to bring a backup on CD or on OHP transparencies, just in case. There is obviously considerable overlap with the recent cooling flow meeting in Virginia. Speakers who are presenting a talk similar to one given in Virginia should take care to include some different material, to avoid 20% of their audience nodding off! We look forward to seeing you on July 2nd. Trevor Ponman --------------------- Preliminary programme --------------------- Weds.
