               7th Birmingham Extragalactic Workshop
                     "Constructing Clusters"
                        June 28-29, 2004


Plans for the workshop are progressing, and a list of invited speakers
is appended below. Everyone who has asked to attend will be welcome,
and almost everyone who has asked to give a talk will be able to do
so. A detailed schedule will be available on Tuesday 2nd June.

There are currently about 50 particpants. We can accomodate a few more
people, so late registrations (see form on
http://www.sr.bham.ac.uk/workshop/) will be allowed until May 31st
when we need to finalise numbers and the programme.  Postgraduate
students are especially welcome.  The total cost, including meals, for
someone staying in student accomodation is only 68 pounds.

Logistics
----------

Accomodation arrangements for June 28th:

You either need to let us know that you want to stay in a student hall
of residence (Chamberlain Hall, cost 25 pounds + VAT for B&B) 
or book your own hotel. A list of hotels and guest houses is available at

>From phone conversations both the nearest - Copperfield House and the
Awentsbury Hotel - have a number of rooms available.

Chamberlain Hall and most of the hotels are a 10-15 minute walk 
from the Physics building, where the Workshop will take place.
We have reserved rooms in Chamberlain Hall & they will be allocated on a
first come, first served basis.

The meeting will start at 11am on June 28th (with coffee from 10.30am)
and will conclude by 4pm on June 29th
