*********************** Final Announcement *********************** 11th Birmingham-Nottingham Extragalactic Workshop "Semi-analytic models - are we kidding ourselves?" June 24-25, 2008 Registration for the Workshop has now closed, and the programme and a list of participants is available via the Workshop web site at http://www.sr.bham.ac.uk/workshop/2008/. Please let us know right away if you spot any problem with the information listed here, or if your availability for the meeting has changed. Talk lengths include time for questions: a 30min talk is 25min plus 5min questions, and a 15min talk is 12+3min. Poster boards will be provided in the Library (room 125) in the Physics West Building (where lunch will be served). Information on travel to Birmingham can be found on the workshop webpage. Talks will take place in the Small Lecture Theatre (SLT, building R13 in "Red Zone") in the School of Physics and Astronomy, here on the main Edgbaston campus. The SLT is in the Poynting Physics Building and can be accessed either directly by entering Poynting, or via Physics West (building R8). Signs will be available to guide you on the day. Directions to the School and a full campus map can be found here, together with information about parking: http://www.ph.bham.ac.uk/about/directions.htm Registration will take place in the room adjacent to the Physics Small Lecture Theatre, and will be clearly signposted during the meeting. The conference fee of 55, which covers coffee, lunches and a Balti dinner on the 24th, is payable (cash or cheque) on arrival. If you have not yet booked your accommodation, then you should do this right away. A list of local hotels and guest houses with prices and contact details is available via the conference website. A computer projector will be available for laptop presentations, and a Windows PC is already connected to this system if you prefer to bring your talk on a memory stick.
