1. A dynamical analysis based on the Cosmological Principle will be applicable on scales for which the Universe is reasonably uniform. As we saw in unit 1, uniformity is a reasonable assumption of scales ~100 Mpc and up. On smaller scales local density enhancements will lead to perturbations from the mean behaviour of the Universe, in the form of "peculiar velocities".
