XASTHELP

The WWW version of asthelp is stored in /lsoft1/asterix/WWW/Asthelp/base; this is a symbolic link from file /datan8/web/htdocs/asterix/Asthelp/base. Follow these steps to upate the on-line version,

• cd /lsoft1/asterix/WWW/Asthelp # go the the correct directory
• ./rebuild # run the main re-builid script

The script rebuild does many things to re-create and enhance the HTML,

• Removes all the old entries to ensure nothing obselete remains.
• Creates all the new pages.
• Improves the style of the top page.
• Adds in some extra HTML pages (about and search)
• Runs the scripts mk_buttons and mk_contents to add HTML style navigations buttons and construct a table of contents respectively.
• Creates a file list files.dat for the search engine ( /datan8/web/cgi-bin/astfind.pl)
