A binned dataset is a collection of Array objects in which dimensionality information is shared across certain arrays.
Arrays attached as properties to BinDS objects can have the property "BinDSconformal" which means that these arrays are subject to shape change under subsetting and rebinning operations. In these circumstances it is possible that normalisation properties are important. In general this will not be the case however, as this facility will be used to store plot attributes on a per point basis.
In the case where both SystematicError and StatisticalError
are defined, the Error component will return the two errors added
in quadrature, and Variance the square of that
quantity.
