Bootstrapping

It is inevitable that at some point you will break the GEN_make script in such a way that the make files it generates contain a flaw which makes it impossible to rebuild the make files using the makes target. A procedure has been written which gets around this problem. Assuming that you have identified the flaw in the GEN_make source in dev/scripts, you can execute the script GEN_bootstrap in the top level ASTERIX directory. This rebuilds the ASTERIX make files using nothing except the configuration files, dev/scripts/GEN_make and kernel/tools/at_strm.c.
