- pss - in the point source searching program pss the PSF is used in conjunction with a background model to make comparisons with an input dataset. (See user_004.)
- imsim - uses the PSF to help create simulated images.
- spresp - attaches a spatial response to an input dataset. (See the Respfile option below).
- crepsf - creates a tabular PSF dataset. (See the Tabular option below.)
- spconvol - is used in extended source searching to convolve the spatial response with a user supplied source model.
- ipsf - fits the PSF to a radial distribution produced by Iradial and displays the result.
- xrad - is a ROSAT PSPC only program which calculates the radius of a circle which encloses a certain fraction of counts.
