 trk_idf::read_maps
        Read the trkmap file for Track/pha IDF

 Usage:
        trkref -> read_maps[, file]

 Argument:
        file    string  If given, then read the maps data from this
                        file, under normal circumstances this should
                        not be used as setting the version should pick
                        up a properly matched set of files.
