ASR Group seminars are normally held on Wednesdays at 2pm, usually (for 2011/2012) in the Physics Library. In the missing weeks during term there is normally a School Colloquium (at 4pm in the Poynting Small Lecture Theatre). Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served in the ASR coffee lounge (Physics West, 2nd floor) after each seminar. See also the talks@bham page for the ASR seminars.

External seminar speakers are assigned a staff member to act as host during their visit, including taking them to lunch with some of the students.

The Group also holds fortnightly informal Friday Lunchtime Science meetings: discussions, talks and paper reviews of a broad nature. The programme for these can be found here.
