Project

Following a performance verification and calibration phase, the ROSAT satellite spent 6 months continuously scanning the sky to make an all-sky survey. This ended on Jan 25 1991, since then observations have consisted of pointings at individual targets. These targets are selected by peer-review committees from proposals made in response to annual announcements of opportunity in the three countries.
