Available PhD positions are advertised towards the end of each year on FindAPhD. Further information is available on the University of Birmingham’s extragalactic astronomy PhD opportunities and Physics and Astronomy PhD programme pages, including details on applications and funding.

For postdoctoral positions, vacancies are typically advertised on the AAS Job Register and the University’s vacancies website. Our extragalactic astronomy webpage lists available postdoctoral fellowship opportunities, with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship offering an additional option. If you are interested in applying for a fellowship with the group, please contact me several months before the application deadline to allow time for any internal selection process and for us to help develop the application.
